<p><strong>SUNNYVALE, CA &#8211; Nov. 8, 2011</strong> - Workplace communication, formerly the domain of cubicles and desktop phones, has undergone a digital facelift in recent years. Today’s capital-challenged business environment prohibits many companies from affording the IT infrastructure, IT staff and office facilities that were yesterday’s standard, a 2011 Webtorials survey found [1]. Real-time communications technologies and the mobile Internet have become standard replacements. Distributed workers have also become a new standard. Businesses can save more than $10 million per year by using 100 remote workers instead of the same number of local workers, according to a survey by the Tanner Group [2].
